SantéIMS Immunization Management System WHO DDCC:VS Alignment

Two Sentence Overview: 
SanteSuite Inc. (SSI) will contribute to accelerating the global adoption of the WHO global vaccination certificate standard by implementing the WHO DDCC:VS specifications in SantéSuite’s Immunization Management System and EIR, SantéIMS, a DPGA nominated “global good”. SantéIMS is the only proven, person-centered, national scale immunization management system, designed and purpose-built to overcome the full range of barriers and challenges national vaccination programs face, in LIMIC settings and beyond. To achieve this goal, SanteSuite Inc. and its collaborating partners will apply and leverage our extensive frontline expertise as well as lessons learned developing and implementing national immunization management systems for Tanzania and Myanmar, our work on the WHO Digital Accelerator Kit for implementing immunization computable care guidelines (CCG), and our significant contributions to international standards development and implementation, including our early contributions to the HL7 FHIR standard.

AVERT (Application for Vaccine Equity, Rollout and Tracking) - Everwell Health Solutions

Everwell Health Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (“Everwell”) is excited to submit this technical application to Digital Square in support of Notice F1: Implementation of the WHO digital documentation of COVID-19 certificates. We propose to create AVERT (Application for Vaccine Equity, Rollout and Tracking) to enable Patient Enrollment, ID Verification, Certificate Issuing and Storage, Vaccination status tracking, Analytics to enable digital documentation of COVID-19 certificates compliant with WHO specifications and implementation guidelines; while leveraging components of the Everwell Hub (which digitizes a patient’s journey from awareness to recovery, to enable more autonomy by users for setting up, managing, and customizing deployments). While our platform is fully featured and in use in 15 countries supporting nearly 2.6 million registrations per year, the Everwell team manages deployments and customizations centrally as per partners’ requests.

DHIS2 DDCC:VS FHIR Adapter

The aim is to develop the DHIS2 FHIR Adapter to use a subscription service to export WHO-DHIS2 COVID-19 toolkit-based data which is collected on the DHIS2-Tracker app, and to transform it into the corresponding FHIR Resources (Compositions), conformant with the DDCC:VS specification. Our team at Itinordic is maintaining the official source code repository for the DHIS2 FHIR Adapter, leading support for the adapter in the DHIS2 community, and have developed Android apps on the platform. We also participate in the WHO coordinated ‘Computable Care Guidelines - Working Groups 1 & 2’ where we contribute on issues related to the practical implementation of FHIR in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs).

Tamanu for COVID-19 digital certificates

This project will adapt the functionality of Tamanu, our patient-level electronic medical record, to generate COVID-19 vaccination certificates in alignment with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines for implementation, including the generation of secure Visible Digital Seals. This work will be achieved as part of our eHealth reform project in Samoa (where we are delivering an eHealth reform project), but the work will be entirely scalable, with 4 other countries already using Tamanu.
