IeDA is a health approach containing digital health tools initially developed in Burkina Faso at the peripheral level of the health system, to support health workers in their work. This project aims to make IeDA "shelf ready" by improving its maturity as a Public Goods, as well as by developing its interoperability within an architecture that respects the framework defined by the OpenHIE.

The Perioperative Shared Health Record (PSHR) as a tool to promote health information exchange between surgical patients and their healthcare providers requires interoperability and internationalization for it to be optimally utilized in the fragmented, unequal South African healthcare system. Once these goals are achieved, tailoring the PSHR, as open source software, for use by patients in low resource settings, will allow for implementation through the African Perioperative Network, a platform connecting investigators in the African Perioperative Research Group, administered by Safe Surgery SA.

Reveal is an open-source digital global good that enables country governments and implementing partners to use geospatial data and technology to efficiently and effectively deliver life-saving intervention campaigns. Akros, a cutting-edge organization that has designed and implemented data-driven systems across Africa and Asia, aims to enhance the shelf-readiness and ability of Reveal to effectively scale by:

  1. Enabling over-the-air (OTA) updates to automate software installation, configuration and routine updates 

  2. Improving quality assurance (QA) processes

  3. Strengthening the Reveal community

We will adapt and contextualize a learning management system in the local language focused on digital community among peers, with digital program monitoring and evaluation, delved into a tiered integrated peer mentoring model. doctHERs masters the art of cost-effective and cost-cutting technologically driven and business-savvy, scalable solutions across communities in Pakistan and across the South Asian diaspora in the US, Canada, UK, Singapore, and the Middle East.
