Two-sentence Overview: 

Our goal is to make our FHIR native mobile and web application plug-and-play, through application and content configurations described through compatible FHIR implementation guides (IGs), based on the WHO SMART Guidelines. We will achieve these goals by building on our ongoing work in partnership with the WHO and Google to develop reference apps (based on existing WHO guidelines, the SMART Guidelines, and the Android FHIR SDK) that execute FHIR native content on smartphones.

An ATNA Compliant Audit Console for the OpenFn Integration Toolkit

Two-sentence Overview: 

The OpenFn Integration Toolkit is used to facilitate data integration and interoperability across secure systems in 40+ countries, but many users still rely on the OpenFn iPaaS (proprietary software that sits on top of the Toolkit) or extend the Toolkit via other software to produce a user-friendly and standards-compliant audit trail interface, a key requirement for many government and iNGO OpenFn implementations.

Through an expansion of our current collaboration with JSI Ethiopia’s team in Addis, the Ethiopia Digital Health Activity (DHA), and the Ethiopian Ministry of Health, we propose to introduce full Audit Trail and Node Authentication (ATNA) compliance to the OpenFn Integration Toolkit so that it’s available out-of-the-box for future implementations of this digital public good.

OpenELIS Global aims to improve its Shelf-Readiness through establishing a structured capacity strengthening program and pathway that will enable country-based teams to engage quickly and easily in the OpenELIS Community and OpenHIE LIS COP to develop, integrate, and support OpenELIS implementation and interoperability in a national architecture. The investment will result in increased capacity of LMIC implementation teams to develop, integrate and support OpenELIS as a global good, achieved through 1) publishing of OpenELIS and QA learning materials and structured pathways related to i) software product development and quality assurance, and ii) interoperability), 2) establishing an OpenELIS capacity strengthening program that includes development of country-based OpenELIS mentors for south-to-south mentorship through the OpenELIS community; and as an end result of the program, strengthened quality of OpenELIS functions and interoperability and a broader community of OpenELIS developers and implementers to support nationally-scaled implementations of OpenELIS within interoperable digital health architectures.

Shelf Readiness of OpenMRS through Capacity Building for Quality Assurance

OpenMRS and University of Washington aim to advance shelf-readiness by utilizing the OpenMRS fellowship program to develop a capacity building pipeline of highly-skilled, advanced quality assurance engineers  for the OpenMRS Quality Assurance program of rigorous, comprehensive, proactive, and systematic quality assurance. By bringing together experienced community members in the QA team and local in-country engineers, this investment will be used to 1) build a structured and measurable QA fellowship pipeline for community sustainability and local country-based capacity, and 2) strengthen OpenMRS product and interoperability quality assurance and compliance.
